Privacy Policy
Last Updated: June 23, 2026
At SafeGames.org, the privacy of our visitors is of extreme importance to us. This Privacy Policy document outlines the types of information that are processed by our platform and how we maintain absolute student privacy.
1. Zero Personal Data Collection
SafeGames.org does not collect any personally identifiable information (PII) from its users.
- We do not require user accounts, logins, usernames, or passwords.
- We do not ask for, store, or transmit names, email addresses, phone numbers, or physical locations.
- Gameplay history, skin unlocks, and high scores are stored strictly inside your browser's local memory (using anonymous Local Storage and temporary JavaScript state). This data is never sent to our servers.
2. Google AdSense & Advertising Policy
To keep our games 100% free and accessible, we partner with the Google AdSense network to show display ads. To protect student privacy, we enforce strict controls on these advertisements:
Non-Personalized Ads (NPA) Configuration
We explicitly configure AdSense to request Non-Personalized Ads only. Non-personalized ads are not based on a user’s past behavior. Although these ads do not use cookies for ad personalization, they do use cookies for frequency capping, aggregated ad reporting, and to combat fraud and abuse.
Restricted Data Processing & COPPA Flags
We request age-appropriate treatments for our ad requests by setting the data-tag-for-age-treatment="1" parameter on our Google ad slots. This signals to Google that the traffic is subject to Child Online Privacy protection, disabling personalized ads and behavioral remarketing.
DoubleClick Dart Cookie
Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on SafeGames.org. Users may opt out of the use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting the Google Ad Settings Page. Alternatively, users can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for interest-based advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
3. Log Files
Like many other Web sites, SafeGames.org makes use of server log files. The information inside the log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, and number of clicks. This information is used solely to analyze web traffic trends, administer the site, track user movement around the site in the aggregate, and gather demographic information. IP addresses and other such information are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable.
4. Sandboxed Isolation Security
Every game played in our portal runs inside a secure, sandboxed iframe. This sandbox:
- Prevents the game script from reading cookies, local storage, or access tokens belonging to SafeGames.org or any other website.
- Blocks the game from triggering unapproved browser pop-ups or attempting web redirects.
- Protects your local computer by keeping game code execution isolated.
5. COPPA & GDPR Compliance Statement
SafeGames.org is fully compliant with the **Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)** and the **General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)**. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately, and we will take necessary actions.
6. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to modify this policy at any time to reflect updates in web safety and school guidelines. Any modifications will be posted directly on this page with an updated timestamp.
